Nicole Richard grew up in Covington, GA, a short drive from Lake Oconee. She and her family spent most weekends camping around the lake and enjoying all the area has to offer. Her family moved to Putnam County, full-time, in 1999. Soon thereafter, she purchased her own home in the same area and is very proud to see how much advancement there has been in the lake country since her childhood.
Nicole earned an Associate in Science Degree from Georgia Perimeter College in 2003, where she majored in the Fine Arts. She then earned her Real Estate License from Barney Fletcher Real Estate School in 2004, while working as an assistant to four real estate executives at Reynolds Lake Oconee. She spent ten years at Reynolds Lake Oconee before accepting another position as Office Manager of The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, GA. She was quickly promoted to Director of The Plaza and spent five years continuing the expansion and growth of the community’s pride and joy. Realizing the time to move on, she left behind the project in 2015 to jump back into the real estate industry. Nicole accepted a position at another non-profit organization as Association Executive for the Lake Country Board of Realtors, where she managed the local MLS and a Realtor® Membership of over 300 individuals.
Nicole began working at Lake Oconee Land & Home in August, 2016, as the company’s Office Manager and Marketing Coordinator. She was able to reactivate her real estate license and assists Broker, Ted Baker, in his busy schedule by helping clients with their real estate needs.
To be sure her Fine Arts Degree doesn’t go to waste, Nicole spends some weekends leading corks and canvas painting parties at her home studio and occasionally teaches these classes at The Plaza’s Community Center. In her downtime, Nicole enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, watching movies, travelling, and spending time with her family on the lake just as she did as a child. She married her high school sweetheart, Chris, in 2006 and they have two children, Christina and Noah, who both attend Putnam County Charter School System.
